Base- Surprise surprise, I'm choosing my go to base. What can I say? It's my favourite combination. I'm talking of course, about the Clarins Beauty Flash Balm, the Bourjois CC Cream and the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer. Something about this trio is just so lovely. It leaves a really fresh glowy base that's flawless and lightweight at the same time.
Blush- Again, I've mentioned this in a previous instalment, but I think the Max Factor Miracle Touch Creamy Blush in Soft Pink is the perfect travel companion for a short break. The shade is very uplifting and brightening. It's quite dewy too, so you don't need a highlighter.
Eyes- I'd only pack one eyeshadow for a weekend away and it would be the Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Pink Gold. It's very sheer and easy to wear and you don't need a brush to apply it. I'd obviously pack a mascara but I would also take a nude eyeliner for the waterline. If I'm looking a little tired, this will help brighten up the eyes.
Lips- Would you believe I've got it down to one lipstick? I know! I'm in shock too. The Revlon Lip Butter in Wild Watermelon has been a long time favourite of mine so I had to mention it one of these posts. It's a sheer pinky red with a slight orange lean that's really easy to wear. Although it is sheer, it can be built up to quite an opaque bold colour which is why I think it's perfect for a weekend away.
That marks the end of this little travel series. I hope you've found these posts useful. In case you missed them, I also did a post for a beach holiday and a city break.
What makeup would you pack for a weekend away?
Thanks for reading,

Wow I wish I could be so minimalist with what I pack, these sound like some great picks and I should learn from you! Applying a nude liner to the waterline sounds like a great idea - I need to try that xx

Thank you! Trust me, I used to over pack for everything. My holiday last year inspired these posts. I took practically every bit of makeup I owned last summer and end up using only a few things! Definitely try the nude liner trick, it really does work :) x
DeleteI love both the Maybelline Colour Tattoos and the Revlon Lip Butters! I need to get Pink gold back out as I remembered loving it not so long ago but I don't have Wild Watermelon - I'll have to check that shade out :) xx

I think Wild Watermelon would really suit you! Pink Gold will forever be one of my favourite eyeshadows. Such a beautiful everyday shade :) x
DeleteI don't actually think I could get through summer without the Bourjois CC cream ha xx
