Drugstore Review: Real Techniques Deep Cleansing Makeup Brush Cleanser
I was so excited when I saw that Real Techniques released a makeup brush cleanser. There's a real gap in the market for a drugstore brush cleanser, that's not baby shampoo. I'm even happier that it's as good as it sounds.
The brush cleanser breaks down all the dirt and grime leftover in my brushes with no trouble. It's very gentle and doesn't dry out the bristles. I've used this on synthetic and real hair brushes and it works on both. My favourite thing about it is the scent, which does linger on the bristles. The only thing I can liken it to is the beauty section of a department store. You know that scent of high end beauty brands. That's what the brush cleanser smells like.
I'm really impressed with how well it works. It is a little tricky to get out of the bottle, but that does mean that you don't pump out too much product. It's easy to rinse the brushes clean too. I find that when I use baby shampoo, it takes a good few rinses to get rid of the suds. I think I'm going to do a comparison post between this and the Beauty Blender Cleanser because they're very similar, but with very different price tags. Let me know if you're interested in that.
Real Techniques are known for their excellent makeup brushes, and now they've got an excellent brush cleanser to clean them with. The best part, it's £6.99. I can't wait to see what else they come up with.
Have you tried the Real Techniques Brush Cleanser? What are your thoughts?
Thanks for reading,
Avani
