If you're a regular reader, then you'll know my love for eyeshadows is strong. Really strong. I have a whole drawer dedicated to all types of eyeshadows that is soon be spread over two drawers. I just can't get enough. Today's post is all about single eyeshadows that I love using as a sheer wash of colour over the lids. Here are my one wash wonders....
- L'oreal Colour Riche Mono Eyeshadow in Pin Up Pink (Lumiere)- This is the newest to my collection and is a very pretty sheer pink with a fine golden shimmer running through it. I love using this all over on a fluffy brush either underneath or on top of other shades to give an extra dimension to the lids. It's a stunning colour that would suit all skin tones.
- Bobbi Brown Rose Gold- The sophisticated rose gold. Yes that does exist. I adore this shadow. Applied all over the lids, you get the most lovely tonal effect. Despite having quite a strong pink lean, it's very muted and would suit mature lids beautifully.
- Max Factor Golden Bronze- I love this shade in the Autumn as it's a very brown based gold. The shimmer is very fine and really more of a sheen. I can't think of a reason why someone wouldn't like this colour. It's gorgeous. When applied as a sheer wash, you get a very subtle hint of golden bronze (funny that) that really catches the light.
- Maybelline Copper Fizz- I wouldn't use a brush for this shade. The formulation is very creamy but you'd get a lot of fall out with a brush. Using fingers to apply it, then a brush to blend over it and sheer it out gives a gorgeous rose gold glisten to the lids. It's the most dramatic of the bunch but you can tone it down with the above method. It does have a lot of shimmer but when it's blended out, it's a very eye catching iridescence. If you have puffy lids, skip this one all together and opt for any of the above.
What are your one wash wonders?

Avani

Me too- I'm more inclined to go for palettes. These singles are so good though. Definitely give Rose Gold a swatch :) x
DeleteGorgeous shades although I never buy single shadows x

Thank you. I tend to pick palettes over single shadows for convenience but there are some great individuals out there! x
