My Love for the W7 Brow Bar*

A few months ago, I was sent a selection of makeup from W7 Makeup to review. Well I did just that and briefly reviewed their Brow Bar (£4.95). Recently, I've been using it a lot and I wanted to do a proper in depth review.

This Brow Bar* is amazing! I can not get over how good this product is, especially given the price. First of all you have 4 brow powders, with shades that are pretty universal. There is a shade for everyone. It comes with 2 brushes and some brow guides but I don't use the guides. The brushes are really good. They're quite stiff which means they pick up a good amount of product and you can actually use them to fill in your brows.

Shade 1: I'm saying this is the highlight shade because it's too light for brows. It is the perfect matte brow bone highlight. I use it every time I do my makeup, it's that good.

Shade 2: A warm toned matte brown. I don't use this in my brows because it's too warm for me. I prefer cool toned brow products. However, this is a great crease shade.

Shade 3: My main brow shade; a cool dark brown. Without a doubt the perfect eyebrow shade if you are my colouring.

Shade 4: This is dark. I wouldn't call it black but it's a very very dark brown. It's probably just a tad lighter than a classic black. This is very strong for the brow. I have used this in my brows, just a minuscule amount through the ends, mixing it with the previous shade. If you are using this for the brows, use a very light hand. Barely dip your brush into the powder and dab off excess. This shade is also perfect for liner and to smoke out a look.

The texture of these powders is sublime. They are extremely buttery and very well pigmented. I really love that they are soft, but not too soft that they crumble half way down your face. They also last a really long time.

Overall, this is the best brow product I've found at a drugstore price. If these shades aren't suitable for your brows, then I highly recommend them as basic eyeshadows. They're the kind of colours that you can use to create a simple eyeshadow look, or a very dramatic smokey eye. If you are after good matte eyeshadows but don't want to splurge, give these a go. I cannot recommend the W7 Makeup Brow Bar enough.

Have you tried anything from W7 Makeup? I'd love to know your thoughts.

Thanks for reading,

  1. This looks like a great product for the price and it has a great selection of shades which is fantastic for mixing until you have created your personalised perfect shade! I have never tried W7 makeup before but I'm eager to give it a go now x

    1. It a real gem! I've only tried a few of their products but their eyeshadows are pretty good too, especially given the price! x
