Monthly Favourites: November 2014

You know the drill, at the end of each month I ramble on about all the things I have been loving.

I think I'll start with skincare. I've been trying a new eye cream this month, the Origins Eye Doctor Eye Cream. This eye cream has definitely stolen my heart. It's perfectly thick and creamy and hydrates like a dream!

I'm not sure if this counts as skincare, but the Clarins Beauty Flash Balm is my skin saviour. It instantly perks up the complexion and leaves a nice base for makeup.

Onto makeup! I don't know why, but this month I've been gravitating towards the Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream. I've put this in a lot of favourites posts before but for me, it's usually a summer base. I think it's because the different pigments within the CC cream help to brighten the skin. If you haven't already guessed, that's been my thing this month. My skin has been so dull lately that I've been pulling out my perky complexion products.

Next up we have the Natural Collection Eyeshadow in Milk Chocolate. Hello perfect crease shade. This is something every eyeshadow lover should own, especially smokey eye lovers. It's the perfect transition shade that makes blending out a look easy. I hauled this earlier in the month and since then, I've been using it constantly.

I also hauled the L'oreal La Palette Nude Rose palette. Now, this is a favourite ish product. I love it. I hate it. I love to hate it and I hate to love it. A good one to go for if you are new to eyeshadow and don't want anything too harsh or dramatic. One to skip if you want a punch of pigment. I'll be reviewing it with swatches very soon. I'll also explain why I love/hate it. Ooh mystery!

Finally, we have the Real Techniques Nic's Picks Brushes, particularly the cheek brush and the angled eyeshadow brush. I'll be posting a review sometime early December on the entire collection, but these are definitely my favourites. There is something so unique about the shape that just works. The cheek brush is great for finishing off your makeup. I like to take a clean brush to make sure everything is blended and this is perfect for that. The angled eyeshadow brush is basically the foolproof way to apply and blend eyeshadow in the outer corner.

That wraps up this monthly favourites post. I'm not sure if I'm going to do one for December. I think I might do a post all about my stand out products for 2014 instead.

What have you been loving this month?

Thanks for reading,
Avani
