Tried and Tested: The Balm Mary Lou Manizer

The Balm's Mary Lou Manzier (£16.00) has been on my radar for quite some time and when I saw it in the feelunique.com sale, I had to snap it up.

This is a gold based powder highlight which has a hint of champagne to it. It looks amazing on the tops of the cheekbone, down the centre of the nose and in the inner corners. If your eyes are looking a little tired, dab this into the inner corner and it's instant light. You can also use it as an eyeshadow.

The consistency is very buttery and smooth. It's an incredibly finely milled pigmented powder that looks great on pretty much every skin tone. Since it is so pigmented, I prefer to apply it with a small stippling brush. This allows me to really buff out any harsh lines and ensures I don't pick up too much product.

I highly recommend this highlighter. It's smooth, pigmented, doesn't emphasise pores and the packaging is really cute. What more could we ask for?!

What's your favourite highlighter?

Thanks for reading,
Avani

  1. I kept hearing good things about this but I assumed it would be too light for my skin tone, so this is reassuring! x
