Tea Tree is something I think everyone should have in their cupboard. It's naturally antiseptic and has so many uses. Today I'm going to share with you my favourite ways of using it.
- Dry Flaky Scalp- Before you go out and buy a shampoo to solve your scalp woes, add about 4-5 drops of tea tree oil to your shampoo every time you wash your hair. I don't know how it works but it seems to get rid of the dryness and stop it from flaking. After about three washes, my scalp was significantly better. Try it. It will cost a lot less than a special shampoo and it's natural.
- Cuts and Scrapes- After leaving the cut for about a day, I always apply Tea Tree Cream. It's naturally antiseptic so it's going to prevent infection. I typically apply the cream twice a day until it's healed.
- On Spots- This is the best blemish eraser. Soak a cotton swab in Tea Tree oil and dab it on the spot. The next day, the spot will be gone or at least a lot better! If you put too much on, use the clean end of the cotton swab to remove the excess.
- Anti Bacterial Spray- In a spray bottle, mix 3-4 drops of Tea Tree oil with water. Shake it up and spritz it on your pillows at night. This is great if you suffer from acne because the tea tree is going to kill any germs lurking on your pillow cases. This spray is also great to take on holiday because it helps keep insects at bay!
So those are all the ways I like to use Tea Tree. If you know of any others then please let me know. Oh and in case you were wondering, I use the Boots Alternatives Tea Tree Oil.
