22 Things I've Learnt In 22 Years

Last week I turned 22! *Cue Taylor Swift's song about being 22.* Anyway, I thought I'd do a post on all the things I've learnt in my 22 years.

  1. What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger. We're starting off deep. I've definitely had my fair share of life challenges and I truly believe this.
  2. Life is short. You never know what's going to happen so if you want to do something, do it.
  3. It's better to have a few good friends than multiple acquaintances. I'd much rather have a handful of true friends who really know me, than a large group of friends I can't rely on. Quality over quantity.
  4. Maggie Smith is a national treasure.
  5. If you really want something, and work hard for it, you will get it. I have to remind myself of this from time to time, but I really do believe it.
  6. If it's not going to affect you in 5 years, don't worry let it worry you for 5 minutes.
  7. Kindness will never go out of style.
  8. There's nothing better that a hot cup of tea.
  9. Pizza over abs any day.
  10. Social Media isn't everything.
  11. Family is everything.
  12. It will all be ok in the end, and if it's not ok, it's not the end.
  13. Perfection doesn't exist. There's no such thing as perfect.
  14. Success means something different to everyone.
  15. Nothing worth having comes easily.
  16. Sometimes things have to get worse before they get better.
  17. Don't compromise who you are for someone else.
  18. Comparison is the thief of joy. I've seen a few people say this on Twitter recently and it's just so true.
  19. Growing old is a privilege.
  20. It's ok to not always be ok.
  21. You never know what someone else is going through, so always be kind.
  22. You are good enough. Repeat that to yourself everyday until you believe it.
Have a wonderful day!
Avani
