Braun Silk Epil Skin Spa 9 Review
I finally caved and bought a more advanced epilator and it was most definitely worth it.
The Braun Silk Epil Skin Spa 9 is the most advanced epilator within Braun and comes with many different attachments. I haven't tried them all yet, but I really wanted to get the review of the actual epilator up because it's honestly amazing and so much better than the previous model.
Firstly, the head is huge, especially compared to my other epilator. The size makes the whole process of doing my legs so much faster. It's still painful but I am getting used to it. I find it really easy to get around the knee and the backs of the legs with this one. I also use it on my arms because it's really quick and I can remove most of the hair in one go.
Silk Epil 9 can also be used wet which is a big advantage because sometimes I find it less painful to epilate in the shower. It's also really easy to clean because the head completely comes apart. You can brush out all the hair and give it a good wash after each use which makes it a lot more hygienic than the dry only models. I also appreciate that it doesn't need to be plugged in to be used. I think it holds about 40 minutes charge before the battery runs out, but I haven't had it run out on me whilst using it. The manual recommends you charge it after every use which is what I do and it doesn't take long either. You do still need an adaptor plug, but as with the previous model, that's not really a deal breaker for me.
I purchased the Skin Spa set for £99 which is expensive but it's full price is £179.99. I recommend waiting for some kind of sale or shopping around. I found the cheapest place that was a reliable retailer was online at Costco. I'm not sure if it's still available there at that price but with Christmas coming up, sales will follow so keep an eye out in places like Boots. In fact, it's currently on offer for £89.99 at Boots.
I'm definitely impressed by this epilator as it's far more efficient and convenient than my previous model. As I mentioned, I'm currently testing out the attachments but I'll see how I get on and I might do a post on those accessories.
Thanks for reading,
Avani
