Tried and Tested: Revlon Ultra HD Lipsticks

I've been meaning to get this review up for ages now! I bought two of the Revlon Ultra HD lipsticks months ago and instantly loved them so I don't know why it's taken me so long to review them.

Revlon claim that these lipsticks have a weightless feel with intense pigment. I think they are supposed to have a gel base which allows for a more even finish that applies smoother than a traditional wax based lipstick. I definitely agree that these are incredibly lightweight and go on so smoothly. They feel very comfortable on the lips and are very creamy and moisturising.

I have two shades, Iris, a berry purple and Poinsettia, a coral red. The lasting power isn't as long as it would be if they were matte. I chose two of the bolder shades so it can get a bit messy because they have a creamy finish. However, if you apply them correctly, you can make them last longer. I prefer to really pat the colour into the lips to create a stain and then go in from the bullet. I usually like to apply more intense shades in this way because it makes reapplying the colour a lot easier. Both shades are just stunning and would suit all skin tones. I'd love to get a more everyday shade in this line because the formula is absolutely lovely. They don't exaggerate any flaws on the lips and I cannot begin to explain how comfortable they feel.

Overall, the Revlon Ultra HD Lipsticks are a great addition to the drugstore. If you like creamy strongly pigmented lipsticks, you'll love these! At £7.99 each, they're definitely worth a try!
