My Favourite Highlighting Products

After my favourite contouring products post, I thought it was only fair to share my favourite highlighting products.

Mac Cream Colour Base in Hush: (bottom left)

This cream highlight gives the most gorgeous natural glow. It makes your cheeks looks really juicy and healthy. I like to apply it with my finger to the high points of my face. It's impossible to go over board with this. I'd say the highlight is more of a peachy creamy finish which is flattering on all skin tones, but particularly darker skin tones.

Barry M Contour Kit: (top left)

The yellow toned highlighting powder is fantastic for setting under the eyes because it immediately brightens and lifts the entire area. The powder is incredibly creamy and completely matte which is ideal for under the eyes.

Max Factor Alluring Rose Cream Puff Blush: (top right)

Now this is technically a blush, but being a baked blush, it has quite a strong highlight element that I find myself using it for both. Although the highlight is strong, when you swirl it with the blush, you get the most natural colour that adds a lovely subtle warmth to the skin. It's the one I'd recommend if you love that sun kissed look. 

The Balm's Mary Lou Manizer: (bottom right)

Quite possibly the most obnoxious, loud and downright beautiful gold highlight there ever was. The shimmer in this is intense but finely milled and gives a stunning glow to the skin. Whenever I use this, either on me or someone else, the end result is always incredible. It just does something magical to the skin. The formula is buttery soft and you get a ton of product in the compact. I think it's best to apply it with a fan brush to get the best control. Honestly, if you take anything away from this post, let it be this product. You need it. You just do. Can you tell I love it?!
