A little bit of context, my skin is dry, dehydrated and at the moment, prone to breakouts due to my health problems. I'd heard that Ultimune was good if your skin is effected by any health problems because it really helps to protect and strengthen the cells.
It's designed to be used before your serum and is suitable for all skin types. The texture is very light and fluid. It's absorbed by the skin almost immediately and certainly doesn't feel like you are putting on an extra layer of skincare. It has a light almost floral scent and the packaging is beautiful. Glass bottle and a pump, need I say more.
I've been using this for nearly two months and I have noticed that my skin is a lot brighter and more even in tone. It's less red and looks clearer. However, having nearly used this bottle up, I haven't seen enough of a difference to warrant spending another £60 on it. It's a good product. I haven't got anything bad to say about it. It just didn't wow me.
Would I recommend this? I've thought long and hard about it and I think it really depends on your skin. I have read very good reviews about Ultimune so maybe it's worth a shot for you. It just goes to show that skincare is very personal; not everything will suit everyone. Personally, I enjoyed it, just not enough to spend another £60 on it.
Have you tried Shiseido Ultimune? What are your thoughts?
