I mentioned in my June Favourites that I went on holiday and stayed at the Dinarobin Hotel Golf and Spa in Mauritius. It was such an amazing place that I thought it deserved its own post!
I would like to point out that this is not me bragging or anything like that. I'm also not being sponsored to write this. I decided after my stay to write a post because the hotel was truly amazing. The staff did so much for me and my family and I just want their hard work to be recognised!
This is the third time I've been to Mauritius and it was easily the best. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and literally everything about it is great. Let's start with the rooms- they're huge! I was so surprised at the size of not only the bedrooms but also the bathrooms. They were really tastefully decorated too; most hotels are either really modern with no character or they need updating. This is the first hotel I've been to where the rooms are modern but filled with character.
Each room has a veranda which again, is huge. The sofas are really comfy and it really brings the outside in. I also loved how on each veranda there was a candle which you could light when you want. It's the little touches that make this hotel great. Housekeeping were fantastic too- the rooms were kept spotlessly clean and everyone had a smile on their face.
That brings me to my next point; the staff were wonderful! They would always be smiling and would be happy to help you with anything. You can actually talk the staff and have a conversation with them which I think is really unique for a hotel. Most just do their job because they have to, at the Dinarobin, you can see that they're really passionate about what they do.
If you love food (like me) then I need to prepare you for the picture below.
Yes. That is real. Would you believe they are prawns?! They're huge! I'm so used to the prawns we get in the UK that these are more like lobsters. Needless to say they were amazing! I had a serious food baby after each meal. Chef Berthy, the Executive Sous Chef, is a genius. Everything was delicious! I have a severe allergy to poultry and the restaurants were really accommodating. It didn't matter where I was eating, they were aware of my allergy. Like I said earlier, it's the small things that make a huge difference.
Here are some pictures I took of the sunset. It was so relaxing to just sit and watch the sun go down. I think we all live such busy lives now that it's nice to take this kind of opportunity when you can.
I love the Dinarobin Hotel. I've only been there once but it has become a home away from home for me and my family. If you ever get the chance to go, take it. Mauritius is such a beautiful island. I recommend it to everyone. If you want a holiday that is really special, then pick Dinarobin. The fantastic staff are what make the hotel great and I want to take this opportunity to thank them. They truly made my stay one of a kind and I can't wait to go back!
