Monthly Favourites: May 2014

I can't believe it's the end of May! Where did the time go; it feels like it was only last week I did my April Favourites. Anyway, you all know how this works so I'm just going to get started.



Makeup:
I have been loving the Revlon Lip Butter in 'Wild Watermelon' this month. When I first got it I loved the colour but didn't really think much for the formula. Now I've used it a few times, I love it. Although it's a sheer lipstick, it still gives decent colour payoff. I love this colour in particular because it really brightens up the face and is perfect for summer. I've also been loving Tanya Burr's Lipgloss in 'Chic' which is my perfect nude gloss. These glosses are really beautiful and leave the lips looking so shiny. I also love putting 'Chic' on top of 'Wild Watermelon'- it creates a gorgeous peachy pink! I will be reviewing the Tanya Burr Lipglosses in depth and that should be up next Friday. 

Skincare:
I rediscovered my Una Brennan Clay Mask this month and it reminded me how much I love it! My skin looks so much better after I've used this beauty; it's smoother, it's brighter and it just looks good. Thanks again Una Brennan!

Hair:
The Tresemme Keratin Smooth 7 Day System has been my hair hero this month. It really does work at reducing frizz even through washes. I just did a full review of the entire line which you can read here. My second favourite is kind of cheating because I only got it about a week ago but I'm already in love with it. The product in question is the Wet Brush. If you have long/thick or tangly hair, you need this in your life! It glides through the hair so easily without pulling or breaking it. You all know the feeling of combing through your tangly hair and hearing it break just a little bit- this does not do that! My mum has also been loving it and was amazed when she first used it. 

Other:
I've included this category because it's a mix of everything else I've been loving this month. First up is Kathleen Lights on Youtube. She does amazing tutorials and reviews and is so funny! I could watch her videos all day. Another Youtuber I've been loving this month is Carly Rowena. She's a fitness vlogger/blogger and really knows her stuff. I don't know what it is about her videos but every time I watch one, I want to exercise. I've also got to give her abs an honourable mention!
Lastly is my new blogging camera. I chose the Canon EOS 700D which is absolutely amazing. The quality of the images is fantastic and I'm really enjoying learning how to use it properly. 

So that's everything I've loved this month. It's been a month of new discoveries and I highly recommend everything I have mentioned. Don't forget to come back on Monday for the next instalment of my prom makeup series.
