My Go to Eye Look

Today I wanted to show you my go to eye look. I always wear this because it's so easy to do and looks great for every occasion. You can wear it day or night and pair any lip combination with it.

The first thing I do is prime my lids with whatever is knocking around. Using my fingers, I apply the Bourjois Colour Edition for Eyes in Petale de Glace all over the lid. I like to use my finger for this product in particular because it gives you better colour pay off. Taking a flat brush, I used the Zoeva Smoky Shader brush, I swept the shade 'Sin' from my Naked palette over where we put the Petale de Glace.

Using my Zoeva 227 (any crease brush will do), I take 'Naked' then 'Buck', also from the Naked palette, and apply them to my crease using windshield wiper motions. You can build up the colour as much or as little as you like, just keep blending. To define my lash line, I take the shade 'Creep' from the Naked palette on a small angled brush focusing the colour on the outer corner of the lash line. It doesn't have to be perfect. I like to smoke it out a bit by smudging the line. This is a really great trick to do because it gives you the definition that eyeliner would, but it's easier to do because it's a shadow (and it's more subtle).

For my lashes I use any mascara I have on hand; today I used Maybelline the Rocket. Just make sure you are coating the root of the lash and not just the tips to create the illusion of thick full lashes. I tend to apply it to the top and bottom lashes but you don't have to. For my brows I just filled them in normally, nothing too dramatic but you can do whatever works for you. Finally, I go back in with Petale de Glace and 'Sin' on my finger to intensify the lids a little more. This really brightens and opens up the eyes.

If you want to make this more dramatic, I would apply more of Creep to the lash line mixed in with a bit of black eyeliner. I like to use the Rimmel Scandaleyes Kohl Kajal in Black because it's easy to smoke out. Don't worry about it not lasting though, once set, it doesn't budge. To add more drama to the look, you can also use the same liner in the water line and the tight line (upper water line). To keep everything balanced, apply a little 'Buck' on the bottom lash line and 'Creep' very close to the roots of the lower lashes. Make sure you have mascara on the bottom lashes too! For the finishing touch, I like to spray my Smoky Shader brush with a bit of Fix Plus by Mac and pick up 'Sin' to add a nice sheen to the lid.

I really love this look because I think it gives your eyes that subtle smokey definition. I've tried it on other people and it works well on them too!

What's your go to eye look?

Thanks for reading,
Avani
