The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution Review

The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution

It occurred to me the other day that whilst I've mentioned The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution, I'd never actually reviewed it. I've been using it for about 4 months now, so I'm ready give my thoughts.

Before we start, there's been a lot of drama around Deciem recently. I don't know what's going on. I wasn't sure whether to post this review, but I know people love their products and I thought the review was still relevant.

Put simply, this toner is very very good. It sloughs away dead dull skin to reveal a smoother more even complexion. My skin glows after I use this. The solution contains Glycolic Acid which my skin loves, and has done for years. However, this toner has a higher Glycolic Acid percentage than others I've tried. It does sting a little when I use it, mainly if I've got any active breakouts. If I were to compare it to Pixi Glow Tonic, I'd say it depends on your skin. Glow Tonic is more gentle due to the lower Glycolic percentage, so I think it would be more suited to people with sensitive skin. For my skin, it's not a big deal. But I can't comment on how The Ordinary's toner would suit really sensitive intolerant skin.

I really do love the this product. I think it's such great value for money. If your skin is particularly dry or sensitive, perhaps proceed with caution and patch test a small area of skin first. Overall, I do think The Ordinary have come up with a fantastic product and it certainly does the job.

Have you tried this toner?
