Winter Skin Saviours

The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution, Niod Fractionated Eye Contour Concentrate, The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid, The Ordinary Plant Derived Squalane

Winter is coming. And that means tight dry skin isn't far behind. If your skin becomes drier than a bone during winter, I have the perfect products for you. Products that will make dry dehydrated skin a distant memory.

The Ordinary Glycolic Acid Toner:

One thing I've noticed, if I don't regularly exfoliate with an acid, my skin does not thank me. Exfoliating removes all the dead skin to reveal brighter smoother skin underneath. But it's so much more than that. Because you're removing all the crap, the products you use on top, will now work that much better. So you're really going to get the full benefit of your serums and moisturisers. My favourite is The Ordinary Glycolic Toner. It's quite strong, but gentle enough for everyday and leaves the skin looking and feeling so much smoother. I've only been using it for about a month or so and difference it's made to my skin is incredible.

Niod Fractionated Eye Contour Concentrate:

Keeping the skin around your eyes hydrated is just as important as the rest of the face. I love this Niod eye oil/serum as it's incredibly hydrating. It also targets puffiness and over time, it's massively helped any darkness around my eyes. You can also use it on the lid which is always forgotten about. Mine get really dry so this is a true saviour.

The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5:

I don't know what I did before this came into my life. It has replaced all my serums as it's just so much more effective. The different molecular sizes of this particular Hyaluronic Acid means it's able to penetrate the skin a lot deeper than others. A few drops of this and my skin feels so much more hydrated and comfortable.

The Ordinary Plant Derived Squalane:

I still don't really know what Squalane is, but it's great for keeping your skin hydrated. It's lighter than an oil, but thicker than a serum. It's the perfect way to end your skincare routine if you have dry skin. It's the final hit of hydration that banishes dry patches and as ever, is really soothing.

Extras:

Origins Overnight Drink Up Intensive Mask:

I've been using this for years and I still think it's one the best products out there for dry or dehydrated skin. Pop this fruity cream on at night and wake up with soft plump skin. It's that simple. It doesn't just sit on top on the skin, it slowly sinks in overnight and I just love the way my skin looks in the morning when I've used this.

Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm:

You've got to start with a good cleanser. My favourite is the Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm because it feels so nourishing yet it leaves the skin really clean. All the dirt and grime of the day is gone, without the skin being stripped.

Those are all my winter skin saviours! I highly recommend all these products if your skin hates the cold weather.

What are your winter skin saviours?
