Whenever Hourglass releases a new palette, I let out a squeal of excitement. I love their Ambient Lighting range, particularly the blushes, which is why I jumped at the chance of buying their Ambient Strobe Lighting Blush palette.
The palette contains three new shades all of which are pigmented and smooth and well, very Hourglass. This gorgeous trio of blushes makes my heart flutter. They are absolutely stunning. At first glance, they look very summery, but actually each shade would work all year round.
Incandescent Electra is a cool peach that brightens the complexion. It's surprisingly natural and looks great if you have a tan. It's peachy, it's pink, need I say more.
Euphoric Fusion is right up my street as it's a mauve with lilac tones. My skin tone loves mauve. It's really flattering and tends to look more natural than a rose shade on me. This one is brighter that Mood Exposure (an Hourglass Ambient Lighting blush) but just as wearable.
Brilliant Nude is a bit of a do it all colour. It's a warm toned bronze with peachy undertones so you could get away with using it as a bronzer/blush hybrid. The swatch doesn't do it any justice. It's got such a pretty silky glow and is the perfect sun kissed shade. It's also a good mixing shade and looks lovely blended with Euphoric Fusion or Incandescent Electra.
I'm really impressed with how these last on my skin and I find they blend just as well as the Ambient Lighting blushes. This exact palette isn't available anymore, but I think two of the shades are available individually.
The love affair with Hourglass continues....
What's your favourite Hourglass product?
