Clarins Beauty Flash Balm holds a special place in my heart. My mum gave it to me when I was just getting into makeup and I figured it would be perfect to include in my Ode To series.
This is a funny little product as it's not a primer and it's definitely not a foundation. I'd describe it as a complexion booster. It's very brightening and really lifts dull skin. It adds something to the skin that is hard to put a finger on. My complexion looks a lot smoother and firmer, but it doesn't look like I'm wearing anything at all. That's why I love it. It gives you good skin without coverage and looks so natural. I often wear this on no makeup days when my skin is a little worse for wear.
You apply a thin layer over the entire face, making sure not to massage it in. You can also use it as a mask, which is where the tightening and firming properties come into play. I find if I leave it on as a mask for about 10 minutes, my skin is that bit firmer and more plump.
I am still obsessed with Beauty Flash Balm and I don't think there's anything I'd change about it. It's damn near perfect. Clarins, you did good!
