The Balm's Mary LouManizer Dupe

I love The Balm's Mary LouManizer. I haven't mentioned it in a really long time, but it's one of my favourite highlighters. So you can imagine my excitement when I discovered a £6.99 dupe.

The dupe is the highlighter in the Rimmel Kate Moss Sculpting Palette in Golden Bronze. Both highlighters are a pale gold shimmer that leave the skin with the most beautiful glow. The textures are very similar, with Mary Lou being a bit more pigmented and creamy.

The main difference is that the Rimmel highlighter is slightly cooler. The swatch really doesn't translate that, once applied to the skin they look identical. Both last equally well and I think they're just as good. Mary LouManizer is more intense, so if that's your thing, go for it. If you like the look of that, but don't want to spend £17.50, get the Rimmel. It's £6.99 and you get a blush and contour, both of which are excellent.

What dupes do you recommend?

Thanks for reading,
Avani

  1. Both products look so dreamy :) Would love to try the Balm highlighter as I'm trying to get more used to more intense highligting :)
