Current Makeup Brush Favourites #4

It's been such a long time since I did a post rounding up my favourite makeup brushes of the moment. So that's exactly what I'm doing today.

Morphe E27:

This is designed to be a blending brush for eyeshadow, but I've been using it for cream contouring. The synthetic bristles blend out creams beautifully and because it's so small, you get a precise and sharp contour.

Real Techniques Contour Brush:

For once I've been using a brush for its designated purpose. I love using this for powder contouring, in combination with the Morphe E27. The shape is ideal for the hollows of the cheeks. I like to add a tiny amount of product to the bristles and blend it over any cream contouring I've done. It's nice and fluffy so it softly blends out any harsh lines.

Real Techniques Setting Brush:

I have a couple of these brushes in my collection because they're so versatile. I love them for concealing, but recently, I've been using them for highlighters. It's great for highlighters that aren't too pigmented. For example, I use it for the highlighter in the Rimmel Kate Moss Sculpting Palette. It's a pigmented product, but more sheer than I'm used to. This brush picks up the perfect amount of product and distributes it evenly, whilst blending it out.

RMK Cheek Brush:

If I could only use one brush for blush/bronzer for the rest of my life, it would be this one. It's not too big or too small so it fits the face really nicely. The bristles are so incredibly soft and blend powders so well. It offers such a seamless finish to whatever you're using. It's also brilliant for very pigmented products because it sheers them out.

Morphe E4:

This is another versatile brush. I've been using it as an all overall blending brush for my makeup. When I'm completely done with my makeup, I use this as a last blend. It makes sure everything is seamless and that there are no harsh lines. The brush has synthetic bristles so, as with the E27, it works fantastically with cream products. Overall, it's a darn good brush.
