It's once again time to round up my favourites of the past month. I wore a lot of makeup this month and could literally include all of it, but I've narrowed it down to the things I was really impressed with.
The Niod Photography Fluid is a very unique product. I wouldn't class it as skincare, but I'm not sure I'd class it as makeup either. Essentially, it's a skin brightener that you can use alone, under foundation or as a mixer. It's a pearly white fluid that once blended out has a yellow/green tone so it corrects any dullness, particularly on camera. I find that it creates the most naturally luminous base for makeup. I've done a full review with swatches that pick up what the fluid looks like here.
I've been getting a lot of use out of the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit Palette. It houses six gorgeous shades all of which are stunning. My personal favourites are Luminous Bronze Light (bronzer), Mood Exposure (blush) and Luminous Flush (blush). Mood Exposure is the perfect neutral mauve blush that goes with everything. Luminous Flush is a lovely brightening coral that looks so good on the apples of the cheeks. Luminous Bronze Light is the perfect bronzer for my skin tone. It's warm but not too warm and gives me a sun kissed glow. I love that these powders look silky on the skin and not flat in any way. They're also incredibly long lasting.
If you saw my Highlight on Fleek post, then you'll know how much I love the combination of Becca's Shimmering Skin Perfecter in Champagne Pop and Mac's Cream Colour Base in Hush. Layering the two creates the most intense highlight that looks stunning on the cheeks. I cannot get enough of this duo. I've also been enjoying the Zoeva Fan Brush to apply my highlight. It adds a precise amount exactly where I need. Perfect for Champagne Pop since that stuff is incredibly pigmented.

My last beauty favourite is the L'oreal Perfection Brow Artist Plumper Gel which is a great one stop brow filler. It looks very natural and the fibres blend in seamlessly with your real hairs. I definitely recommend it if you struggle with brows.
My blogger/Youtuber of the month is Chase Amie. She makes content about luxury fashion, mainly handbags. I think her videos are so interesting and she's very well spoken. I've recently been loving watching luxe videos and so far, she's the best I've found. Her Instagram is also just dreamy.
So that's it for Summer. Autumn technically starts tomorrow and as much as I love Summer, I can't wait for the colder months. Not to mention we're getting closer to Christmas. Is it too early to use the C word?
What have you been loving in August? And what's your favourite thing about Autumn?

They're excellent, especially for the price!
DeleteThe zoeva brush looks really interesting, is it easier to apply highlighter with a fan brush?

I'm not sure it's easier as it does take some time to get used to. However, it's perfect for really pigmented highlighters.
DeleteI haven't seen the Niod Photography Fluid before, it looks so interesting x
ReplyDeleteI love it! Such a unique product!
DeleteThese are some really great highlighters! Would love to try Becca highlighters

I definitely want to try more Becca highlighters after trying Champagne Pop. I've heard really great things.
DeleteI need that hourglass palette that's in your photo. Where did you get yours from?
ReplyDeleteI got in from Space NK last year. It was limited edition for Christmas I believe. They do have a new palette coming out this year which also looks amazing! I think it's coming out in September, but don't quote me on that! Hope that helps :) x
DeleteI really wanted this Hourglass palette when it came out, it's beautiful. Although I purchased Mood Exposure and Luminous Flush separately and they're absolutely beautiful!

It's such a lovely palette. Having used the blushes, I wouldn't hesitate buying them full size if I ran out. They're stunning!
DeleteLuminous Flush and Mood Exposure are two favourites of mine! I'm really intrigued by the Niod. I definitely want to try out this Hush/Champagne Pop combination too :)

I think you'd like the Niod. It's a little dry on its own, but mixed in with a primer or moisturiser, it works beautifully!
DeleteI'm SO jeaous of your Hourglass palette. I've been admiring their products for some time now and it just makes it that little bit harder reading about them. Super lucky! Found your blog through Bloglovin xo
