A Rather Large Beauty Haul (Part One)

You know that a beauty haul is big when you have to split it into three parts. Anyway, the first part is going to be a few drugstore bits and some exciting things I got for my birthday.

Barry M released another shade variant of their contour kit for medium to dark skin tones which I had to pick up because there is such a gap in the market at the drugstore for such an item. This is the first contour kit I've come across at this price point that actually runs dark enough to really be classified as a suitable shade for darker skin tones. I'm looking forward to testing out the formula and the longevity because the original kit was brilliant.

Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer is something I've heard so many people talk about, the only problem is, it has a very limited shade range. I saw that Jasmine from Jasmine Talks Beauty uses the darkest shade and thought I'd pick it up too. The formula is supposed to be one of the best so let's see if it truly is!

The next two lipsticks I got were also recommendations from Jasmine. I picked up the NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Cannes and the Revlon Lip Butter in Sugar Plum. Cannes is a matte mauve pink and Sugar Plum is a darker but sheer plum. Two shades I know I'm going to use a lot.

Onto the exciting things I got for my birthday! I've finally managed to get hold of some Charlotte Tilbury makeup. I got the Dolce Vita eyeshadow quad, Glastonberry Matte Revolution Lipstick and Pillow Talk lip liner. All three items are just dreamy and I am so excited about them. Whilst in Selfridges I also got the RMK Cheek Brush as I know their brushes are a firm favourite of Lily Pebbles. I've been after a brush like this for such a long time as it's the perfect shape for blush, bronzer and even contour. It's also incredibly soft. I used it for the first time on Saturday and I can't believe the difference in application. I'm going to use it a few more times and give it a wash then I'll pop a review up. So far though, I have a feeling I'll be picking up a few more RMK brushes next time I'm in Selfridges.

Thanks for reading,
Avani
xoxo
