Spring has finally sprung which means it's time to put away my berry lipsticks and bring out all the peachy pinks I own. Today's post is all about my favourite products to use come Spring.
Bourjois Happy Light Primer: (post)
This seems to be the perfect lightweight yet effective primer that gives me a lovely natural glow. It's peach toned which means it doesn't effect the colour of my foundation and my makeup lasts all day with it.
Estée Lauder DayWear Sheer Tint Release:
Now this takes me back. DayWear was my base of choice up until a couple of years ago. The reason being, it's so light. Although it doesn't offer a lot of coverage, I love it because it evens everything out. Combined with a good concealer, you can achieve a really natural fresh makeup look, my favourite kind for Spring. You could probably apply this under your foundation because it's so light. I should have a review up on Friday.
Max Factor Miracle Touch Creamy Blush in Soft Pink: (post)
I prefer using this cream blush in Spring when my skin is still a bit dry because it has such a lovely sheen. Soft Pink is the perfect natural pink that's subtle enough for daytime. It's very fresh and glowy on the skin too.
Revlon Highlighting Palette in Bronze Glow:
If you prefer a powder product, I recommend the Revlon Highlighting Palette in Bronze Glow because you have everything you could need in one easy to use block. You can customise the colours depending on what suits you and the formula is excellent. No obnoxious chunks of glitter here, just a silky glow.
L'oreal Colour Riche Mono Eyeshadow in Pin Up Pink:
This eyeshadow is really unique. It's a sheer pink with a gold shimmer running through it that works well on its own or topped over other colours. In Spring, this is ideal for a light wash of colour all over the lid. It catches the light and again, will keep the makeup looking very fresh.
Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Pink Gold: (post)
If you want something a bit extra for the eyes, then layer the Maybelline Colour Tattoo underneath the L'oreal eyeshadow. It's still subtle but adds not only longevity to the eye makeup, but also a bit more of a glow. I'm sensing a theme here...
Bourjois ColourBand Eyeshadow Crayon in Rose Fauviste: (post)
This is another rose gold shade but this is a lot warmer. I'm including it in this post mainly for ease of use. Being a crayon, you can literally just scribble it on and blend it out with fingers. The shade is stunning all over the lid and catches the light beautifully.
L'oreal Telescopic Mascara: (post)
In Spring I prefer a more lengthening mascara as opposed to something that gives me lots of volume. I've found the L'oreal Telescopic Mascara to be excellent at giving me wonderful length to my lashes. It really opens the eyes and brightens the face. Benefit's Roller Lash gives similar results but I think it's better at giving a curl and lift to the lashes.
Tanya Burr Lipgloss in Sparkling Dewdrops: (post)
I have no idea if this lipgloss has been discontinued, but I still love it. It's such a gorgeous peachy pink that I couldn't not include it. A non sticky gloss that has more of a sheen and can be layered up to your desired intensity. Yes please.
Revlon Lip Butter in Berry Smoothie: (post)
I pretty much include this in every post where I mention lipstick. I'm sorry, I can't help it! I just love this colour so much. Although yes it is a berry lipstick, it's lighter than most and more pink than berry. It's sheer and hydrating and I really can't get enough of it.
Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Stick in Pink A Boo: (post)
I'd recommend this one for fairer skin tones because it's a very pretty light pink. I need to layer this colour with other shades to get it to work for me, but I've included it became it's a great shade depending on your skin tone. The formula of the Soap and Glory gloss sticks is one of the best out there; very glossy and hydrating.
So there you have it! My Spring makeup menu. To sum up, I like light fresh glowing makeup with soft peachy pinks on the lips and cheeks.
What's your favourite makeup look for Spring?
Thanks for reading,
Avani
