Neglected Makeup Products

After putting together my Spring Makeup Menu, I realised there were so many great products in my collection I've been neglecting in favour of newer shinier makeup. These are some of my old favourites.

Estee Lauder DayWear Sheer Tint Release:

A lovely lightweight base that offers more glow and less coverage and is very natural. Fingers work best for this and it's a good one if you want to even out your skin tone. Think of it as a 'my skin but better' base.

Revlon Cream Blush in Charmed Enchantment:

This used to be my favourite cream blush because it's so long lasting. It has a cream to powder finish and is really easy to blend. I love this shade in particular because although it's a natural mauve, it's a bit brighter than others.

Revlon Highlighting Palette in Bronze Glow:

I like to call this the do everything product. You can use it on the cheeks as a bronzer/blush/highlighter hybrid and you can use it on the eyes. Bronze Glow would suit most skin tones but if you have a darker complexion, it would probably work better as a warm highlighter. Revlon also have a rose toned palette called Rose Glow which I think would be stunning on fair skin. The formula is just right as it's pigmented, but not overly so and the shimmer is soft and subtle.

Bourjois ColourBand Eyeshadow Crayons:

I really need to use these more as they're some of the best eyeshadow crayons at the drugstore. The formula is both creamy and long lasting and the shades are fairly unique. My favourite one is Rose Fauviste which is a beautiful rose gold. It's very warm and looks gorgeous blended all over the lid.

L'oreal Rouge Caresse Lipsticks:

These lipsticks used to be my all time favourites. They're very sheer and hydrating and not too dissimilar to the Revlon Lip Butters. My favourite shade is Aphrodite Scarlet which has sadly been discontinued so I use it sparingly. It's such a shame because that was my perfect pink. Slightly peachy, slightly pinky and really brightening. Rebel Red is also a great shade and is perfect if you want red lips without the intensity of a bold lip.

What products have you been neglecting lately?

Thanks for reading,
Avani

  2. I have some Bourjois colourbands hidden somewhere, need to dig them and out and use them. They are amazing when in a hurry!
