I thought it might be fun to round up some of my game changing beauty products. These are five items be it makeup, skincare or beauty tool that have completely changed the way I use or view beauty. I've also included two extras for good measure!
Pixi Glow Tonic:
The exfoliating toner that sets the bar for all exfoliating toners. Gentle enough for everyday, effective enough to notice an immediate difference to my skin. I'm really keen to try the Glow Mud Cleanser too. I highly recommend Glow Tonic, whatever your skin type is but if you need more convincing, you can read my review here.
Revlon Berry Smoothie Lip Butter:
This will always be my favourite berry lipstick because although it's a sheer moisturising formula, it's very build able and you can get quite a nice punch of pigment. It's very comfortable to wear, easy to reapply and looks good on everyone.
Bobbi Brown Eye Blender Brush:
Honestly, this is the softest brush I own. The bristles move well on the skin, in a totally different way to my synthetic brushes. It's a very large eye blending brush so it works better for softening the edges as opposed to blending colour into the crease. That being said, you can use it to apply a very sheer wash of colour all over the lid. Everyone says the MAC 217 changed their eye makeup game, but for me it was the Bobbi Brown Eye Blender.
Shu Uemura Eye Lash Curlers:
Curling my lashes is now an unmissable step in my makeup routine. It dramatically opens up the eyes and brightens the face. The Shu Uemura ones are the only ones I've tried but they're the only ones I need to. My mum has always recommended them, and she's right. Don't tell her I said that!
La Roche Posay Cicaplast Hand Cream:
I'd not heard much about this hand cream but after trying so many others, I thought it can't hurt to give it a go. I am so glad I did as it has really helped heal my hands from the eczema I get during winter. It's incredibly hydrating yet non greasy. No fuss or frills but it's a staple.
Honourable Mentions:
Honourable Mentions:
Babyliss Big Hair:
I've had this for yonks and I'm really only just getting the hang of using it. It can be a little tricky with very thick hair, but once you get used to it, the results are swoon worthy. It gives you that salon 'Kate Middleton' blow out that I always request from my hairdresser, at home. It's a hot rotating brush that dries the hair and shapes it at the same time. I'll pop a post up on it soon because I've really fallen in love with it recently.
Wet Brush:
Nothing goes through wet hair (or dry hair for that matter) like the Wet Brush. It glides through tangles with ease and is a good one to use if you're brushing out curls to soften them. It gently smoothes through them without loosing their shape and pulling on them. I haven't been able to go back to regular hair brushes since using this.
All of these products have seriously upped my beauty game and I highly recommend them all.
