Best of Beauty 2015: Skincare
It's time for the best and worst of beauty over the past year. In today's post, I'll be covering all of my favourite skincare products.
Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Complex II Serum
I think nearly every beauty blogger has tried this serum and for good reason. It's truly excellent for all skin types. It's very light on the skin and the texture is unlike any other. When you apply it, it immediately sinks in. It doesn't feel sticky, but it does have a bit of tack which I think helps other products penetrate deeper.
Trilogy Rosehip Oil
This is such a great face oil that I recommend to everyone because not only does it deeply hydrate and nourish the skin, it also helps fade marks and other scarring. It doesn't feel heavy or greasy on the skin and you can mix it with other products too. I also appreciate that in comes in two sizes so if you end up liking it, going for the bigger size makes it more affordable.
Pixi Glow Tonic
If you're after a quick way to effectively yet gently exfoliate your skin on a daily basis, look no further. Pixi Glow Tonic is as good as everyone says. It doesn't sting the skin but it does leaves the complexion looking brighter and feeling smoother. I think this is my standout skincare product of 2015.
Una Brennan Rose Peaceful Night Cream
I used this back in the summer because I was after something that would offer me a good dose of hydration, whilst also being lightweight. It sinks in very quickly and if you have combination skin, this would be perfect for you all year round. It also mixes really well with Trilogy's Rose Oil.
La Roche Posay Anthelios XL Comfort Cream SPF 50*
2015 was the year I finally found an SPF that works for me. The Anthelios range from La Roche Posay has so many products for every skin type. I have the one for dry skin and it's definitely hydrating enough for me not to need a separate day cream. My favourite thing about it is that it doesn't break me out.
La Roche Posay Toleriane Dermo Cleanser*
I am very loyal to the Una Brennan Rose Hydrate Creamy Cleanser, but it is nice to mix it up a bit. Dermo Cleanser from La Roche Posay's Toleriane line is great because it removes makeup, including eye makeup, whilst being very gentle to the skin. The Toleriane range is designed for very sensitive intolerant skin and doesn't contain any harsh ingredients which is perfect for my dry skin.
REN Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask
It took me ages to try this mask, but I'm glad I finally did as it is just what I need when my skin is looking dull and grey. The different enzymes and acids help to exfoliate, decongest and generally improve the health and appearance of your skin. I like to apply a really generous amount to my entire face, leave it on for 10 minutes and remove it with a hot face cloth. I haven't experienced any tingling but if you have sensitive skin, then you might want to exercise caution. After I've used it, my makeup applies so much better and looks more flawless.
What was your favourite skincare product from 2015?
