I've always wanted to try the Beauty Blender. It's such a hyped about product in the beauty world and it's always baffled me. Can a sponge really be that good?
The answer is yes. It may be a sponge, but it's a bloody good sponge. I use it to apply my foundation and concealer and no other brush gives me the same effect. My skin looks flawless but natural at the same time.
To use the sponge, run it under water squeezing out the excess until it expands. Once it has expanded, squeeze out any extra water in a towel so that the sponge is damp, not wet.

Using the round end, dot the foundation on the face and begin bouncing the product in. It takes a little time to get used to the movement, but bouncing the foundation in as opposed to swiping it on, helps give a smooth airbrushed finish. For concealer, use the pointed tip to bounce the product under the eyes and around the nose. It's the perfect size and shape for getting in those hard to reach areas of the face.
If you bounce the product into the skin, the effect is very flawless. It creates a seamless finish and helps to fill in pores and smooth out lines. It is also going to help your foundation/concealer last longer because you're really pressing it into the skin.
The sponge itself is very squishy and doesn't soak up foundation. That being said, if you're using a water based product, avoid using a sponge of any sort because it will suck up the product.
I was pleasantly surprised by the Beauty Blender. I thought it was going to be a very overrated product but it's quickly become my favourite way to apply foundation and concealer. At £16, it's expensive but worth it in my opinion. I would happily stop using my foundation and concealer brushes and just use this.
Have you tried the Beauty Blender? What are your thoughts?

It sounds great! I think you can often get them in Beauty Boxes so if I see one I'll definitely get my hands on it :) xx
