Tried and Tested: Tanya Burr Nail Polishes
When it comes to nail polish, I usually look away in fear. I love beautifully manicured hands but when I paint my own, I really butcher them! However, now I've tried Tanya Burr's nail polishes, things are looking up.
The formula of these is perfect; they're really creamy and go on so smoothly. The finish is super glossy and they don't smudge easily. Nail polish typically smudges on me overnight, how?! These on the other hand look just as good the next day. The brush is quite small which I normally don't like but you can easily paint your entire nail in one go without dipping in for more polish. They dry really quickly too; I think they may have surpassed Essie in that category.
I have the shades:
Peaches and Cream*: A peachy nude, perfect for natural nails. I was able to go opaque with one coat but 2 coats would be better for this one. This is one of those magic nude shades that will suit lots of skin tones. It really reminds me of the Tanya Burr Lipgloss in 'Chic' which I also love. Peaches and Cream is the nail polish version of that!
Mischief Managed: A classic pillar box red. This is the kind of polish that everyone should have in their collection. It suits a multitude of skin tones and it just looks beautiful.
Be Bright, Be Happy, Be You: A gorgeous vibrant pink. It's not too bright and it's the closest pink I've found to CND Shellac Pink Bikini. In some lights it's blue toned and in others it's a classic pink. It is such a beautiful shade.
Bright and Early: A stunning coral with a hint of pink. This is probably my favourite shade of the bunch. It looks great with or without a tan. It's one of those 'makes your skin look perfect' kind of shades. I love it.
In terms of lasting power, they are all fantastic. I'm on day 4 with Be Bright, Be Happy, Be You on my finger nails and I've had very minor chipping. On the toes, these last ages- I'm a week into Bright and Early and there are no signs of wear yet! These are amazing polishes and for £5.99 you can't go wrong!
Have you tried these polishes? What are your favourite shades?
Thanks for reading,
Avani
