Tried and Tested: Riemann P20 Suncream

I've got another suncream post for today, except this one's for the body. (That sounds weird, right?)

I find it really hard to find a suncream that's suitable for my skin. I get really bad eczema and suncreams usually irritate the crap out of my skin. I asked fellow eczema sufferer Estee from Essiebutton what she uses and she recommended the Riemann P20 Suncream (£13.99). This stuff is awesome!

Let's start with the texture; it's an oil. I was pleasantly surprised by this because I expected a white cream to come out. Instead, what you get is a really lightweight oil that leaves no white marks on the skin. It absorbs into the skin really quickly and it doesn't leave you feeling oily or greasy. It also doesn't leave you feeling like you're wearing suncream, which I love.

I got SPF 20 which was enough protection for me and I didn't burn despite being in the sun all day. It says it's a Once A Day Sun Protection which is fine if you don't plan on going swimming. If you do, I recommend reapplying it a couple times throughout the day. It protects you from UVA and UVB; UVA is the cancer causing rays so it's great that this one protects you from both. The only downside to this product is the smell. It's not a strong smell and I wouldn't say it lingered or anything, but it's not the most pleasant either.

It's quite an affordable suncream too, my whole family used this bottle throughout our 10 day holiday and there is still quite a bit left. It's also readily available; you can find it at Boots or online.

I didn't get any irritation from this suncream and I highly recommend it to everyone, even eczema sufferers.

What's your favourite body SPF?

Thanks for reading,
Avani
xoxo
