I love a good clay mask! They're great at giving the skin a deep clean and clearing up breakouts. I had heard a lot of good things about the Una Brennan Superfacialist Tea Flower Mask (£8.99) and I must say, it didn't disappoint.
The mask clears up any active blemishes and makes my skin look really bright and fresh. I'd heard that this mask tingles when applied which did worry me because I have sensitive skin. However, I've used it at least 4 times and haven't experienced any tingling or irritation. If you are concerned, apply it on a small section of your arm to see how your skin reacts before using it on the face. One thing I did notice is that as the mask dries, it makes your skin feel a little bit tight. It's not as bad as most clay masks though so don't be put off. The mask is in no way drying nor does it leave behind a residue so I recommend it for all skin types.
I like to use this at least once a week but maybe twice if needed. My favourite thing about this mask is that you only need to leave it on for 5 minutes for it to work. It's great if you're in a rush and you need to give your skin a quick fix. If I have more time or my skin is particularly bad, I will leave it on for longer.
This really is a great mask and for the price, you can't go wrong. It's easy to remove too; I like to take it off with a hot face cloth for a deeper clean. It has quite an interesting scent; it's herbal but not in an overpowering way- I know that's a rubbish description! If you are near a Boots then have a look at this and the entire Una Brennan range. The more I try from her, the more I like. For once, there is great skincare at the drugstore!
Have you tried the Una Brennan range? I'd love to know your thoughts and recommendations!
Thanks for reading,
