I really loved putting together my I Got It From My Mama post a few months ago. It was such a nostalgic moment to retrace my beauty steps and dig out all the products I love, that I got from my dear mother. So I thought, why not make it into a little series?
My love affair with this product was passed down from my mum. It deeply hydrates the skin, whilst also fading scars and masks. Despite being an oil, it isn't greasy and feels just lovely on the skin. A tip my mum gave me was not to use it on my whole face when I'm breaking out. Instead, put a little on a cotton bud and dab it on the scar or mark after using a lighter moisturiser, so you don't make the breakout worse.
Shu Uemura Eye Lash Curlers:
I guess I know where I get my expensive taste in makeup from! I've never not used these eyelash curlers, thanks to mum. There is something about curling your lashes that instantly brightens the face and makes you look more awake. These curlers are particularly good because they're really gentle yet they work brilliantly.
Rituals Eye and Cheek Glow:
Rituals seems to fly under the radar the majority of the time, and I don't know why. This little palette for example, is beautiful. All of the shades have a soft sheen with subtle shimmer. The paler shades make excellent highlighters and individually, they make lovely eyeshadows. They're soft and easy to work with.
YSL Shocking Eyeliner:
I am terrible at eye liner. No matter how hard I try, I can't master the feline flick. But this eyeliner helps. You can pretty much just stamp it on because it's a felt tip and is very thin and flexible. It's a nice rich black and lasts all day. What more could I want?
I love these products and I love that I got them from my mum. There's something so lovely about having products in your collection that have been 'passed down' as it were.
What's your favourite beauty product that you got from your mum?
Thanks for reading
