It occurred to me the other day that I've been blogging for nearly three years, but my readers don't know much about me. I don't know why that is, but I want to mend that. I want my blog to be a space where we can all get to know each other.
- I'm 4ft 11 inches. Yep, I'm that short. I've been assured that all good things come in small packages, but I would have liked to be at least 5ft! On the plus side, I get to wear really high heels. On the downside, really high heels only make me average height. If that.
- I read The Other Boleyn Girl once a year. And I've been doing that for 4-5 years. I absolutely love it. I know it's not 100% historically accurate, but I don't care. It's the novel that got me interested in Tudor history and I'm always going to be grateful for that.
- I love Maggie Smith. I've watched most of her films and shows and can't get enough. Some people think Mary Berry is a national treasure, to me, it's Maggie Smith. She's the epitome of elegance, talent, wit and wisdom. I genuinely wish she could teach me how to live. That doesn't sound weird at all...
- I'm religious and spiritual. I tend to shy away from serious topics on my blog but this is a huge part of me. I'm a Hindu and I believe in God. I have absolute faith in God that I am going to be ok. It's not something I'm going to write a lot about, but I'm putting it out there. If you're an atheist, I respect that. I think we're all mature enough to respect each others personal beliefs.
- I don't consider myself creative. Despite being a blogger and wanting to be a makeup artist, I don't think I'm that creative.
- I really relate to Bernadette from The Big Bang Theory. Same height, same temperament, same sense of humour. The list goes on.
- Every year my brother and I will watch Recess together. We used to watch it all the time when we were little. It's old school Disney Channel. You know, before it became irritating. Watching it now is hilarious and I probably shouldn't even admit that I still watch it.
- I love politics. It's always fascinated me and that has just grown as I've gotten older. The past six months have certainly been interesting so I might write a post on my political views soon.
And I've run out of facts. Tell me something about yourself!
Thanks for reading,
Avani
xoxo
