Disappointing Product: L'oreal Infallible Blush Sculpt Trio (Nude Beige)

As you may be able to tell from the plethora of contouring/sculpting palette reviews, I love a good bit of sculpting. It can really enhance your natural bone structure. I was really intrigued by the L'oreal Infallible Blush Sculpt Trio in Nude Beige because the peachy shades are right up my street.

The idea behind this little palette is that you can mix the shades up to create a blush/bronzer/sculptor hybrid. It's a brilliant idea, but I do find the palette a little disappointing as it's just too pigmented, making application very difficult. If you apply too much of this particular shade, it can make the complexion look very muddy. I'm used to pigmented blushes but even with my vast brush collection, I find it hard to work with. The best way I've found to apply it is with the Zoeva Sheer Cheek brush. As the name would suggest, it sheers the blush out. I'd also recommend patting it on instead of swiping it on, to give you more control.

That being said, I actually love the shade and texture. It's so creamy, that it blends beautifully and leaves a nice silky finish to the skin. It's a very peachy summery palette that gives you the most incredible sun kissed glow. You definitely don't need any other cheek product with this, maybe just a touch of cream highlighter. I'm not a fan of the white shade on its own, but once you blend it with the others, it creates a really wearable and natural blush/bronzer. Whilst you can sculpt with this, you can't contour with it in the normal sense, but I was never going to anyway.

If you can get past the over pigmentation, then the L'oreal Blush Sculpting Trio in Nude Beige is a lovely little product. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I wish it wasn't as pigmented. Maybe the other shades are better? For now, I'm classing it as disappointing, but I love the look of it once applied correctly. For £7.99, I'm not writing it off just yet.

What are your thoughts on the L'oreal Infallible Blush Sculpt range?

Thanks for reading,
