Monthly Favourites: April 2016

April has been such a brilliant month and it gives me such joy to say that! I turned 21 and all in all, it's just been a good month. I've got quite a few favourites so let's get started.

Beauty:

The Charlotte Tilbury eyeshadow quad in Dolce Vita is just beautiful. The colours work well with each other and blend beautifully. I love the gold glitter which really catches the light and the rusty red shade looks amazing blended into the crease. I'm so excited about this palette, that I think I'm going to have to splurge on another shade variant!

I've also been pretty much obsessed with my new RMK Cheek Brush since I got it for my birthday. It's so soft and blends in product so well. If you want a seamless finish, this is the brush to go for. On my lips I've been sporting Revlon's Lip Butter in Sugar Plum which is a deep but sheer plummy pink.

The only nail polish I've worn this month has been the Barry M Gelly Nail Polish in Blue Grape. It has the most wonderful shine and Blue Grape is a vibrant cobalt that looks lovely for this time of year.

Two new skincare products I've been impressed with are the Vichy Aqualia Thermal Serum (review here) and the La Roche Posay Toleriane Eye Contour Cream*. The serum is lovely and light, yet it packs a punch in terms of hydration. The eye cream is just so soothing and comforting and great if you have sensitive eyes or suffer from allergies.

Lifestyle:

I had my birthday dinner at Tom's Kitchen in Chelsea which was fantastic. It's a really relaxed restaurant but the food and service are excellent. I'm still dreaming about the fish and chips.  La Roche Posay invited me to film with them for a testimonial video earlier on in the month and it was such a great experience. It's the first time I've done anything like that and I just had such a great day.

My blogger/vlogger of the month is The RAEviewer. I've watched her videos and read her blog for years and for good reason. Rae does amazing reviews of high end beauty and I just love her personality. She's always really honest which I think is so important.

I'm sad to see this month end, but I must say, I'm ready for the weather to warm up! I honestly can't wait to see what the next month brings.
