Tried and Tested: Bumble and Bumble Hairdresser's Invisble Oil Range

I love the Space NK sale. You can snap up some real bargains for high end beauty products. Case in point; I purchased the Bumble and Bumble Hairdresser's Oil Set for £15.50. It's full price was £31. I call that a good bargain.

I don't tend to spend a lot on shampoo and conditioner. I can't get around the fact that it literally goes down the drain. I mean, I could spend that money on makeup and you know, more makeup. Anyway, having tried the Bumble and Bumble Hairdresser's Invisible Oil Set, I'm still not convinced.

Let's start with the shampoo. I don't think I've ever tried a shampoo that both cleans the hair but makes it feel dirty at the same time. The two don't tend to go together. It does have some good qualities; it lathers up beautifully. The shampoo feels very creamy and luxurious. I definitely noticed that my hair felt very clean in the shower and when it was dry. However, by the next day, it was greasy. I can usually go 3 days without washing my hair, so I wasn't expecting that at all, especially since the shampoo is quite stripping.

The conditioner is perfectly fine. There isn't anything wrong with it but it doesn't wow me. My £6 conditioner from L'oreal is just as good, if not better. Despite containing a good blend of oils, it doesn't do much in the way of taming frizz or keeping the hair hydrated.

Now, the Invisible Oil has me on the fence. It's heavier than my typical hair oils but it does leave my ends hydrated. I'll have to report back on this one because I honestly don't know how I feel about it!

Each product within the range has a very sweet vanilla scent which I like. It's actually very similar to the L'oreal Ever Riche scent but the Bumble and Bumble one is more sophisticated.

I'm not in love with this range and I won't be purchasing the full sizes of the shampoo and conditioner. However, this is just one person's opinion, so take it with a pinch of salt. Personally, I prefer my more affordable hair products and feel really underwhelmed by this range. I will update you on the oil because like I mentioned, I am on the fence about it.

Have you tried anything from Bumble and Bumble?

Thanks for reading,
Avani
