Tried and Tested: La Roche Posay Anthelios XL Comfort Cream SPF 50*
I've been meaning to try the Anthelios range from La Roche Posay for ages. So when they got in touch and kindly sent me the Anthelios XL Comfort Cream SPF 50*, I was very happy.
A good facial SPF is hard to find. They're either too greasy, or too heavy, or too chalky, or they break me out. I was pleasantly surprised to find that Anthelios XL isn't chalky or heavy. It's really light and because there isn't a white cast, it doesn't make me look ashy. Anthelios XL is targeted at dry dehydrated skin and it is definitely hydrating enough to use on its own in the morning. I use this after my serum, where I would typically use my moisturiser. It's great to know that it's giving me both UVA and UVB protection. Anthelios XL also sits well under makeup and doesn't interfere with whatever base I'm using.
La Roche Posay have started a campaign called Become a Skin Checker which promotes being healthy in the sun by wearing SPF. We all know how important it is to protect ourselves, but how many of us actually do it on an everyday basis. I know I don't, but skin cancer is becoming more and more common and it's not something you want to leave to chance. With the weather in the UK being particularly lovely at the moment, SPF is something we should all be using. I'm really glad I got the opportunity to try Anthelios XL Comfort Cream SPF 50* and I really want to check out their body range. My eczema can get quite bad in the sun and a good body SPF is just as important as a good facial SPF for me.
Overall, if you are looking for a good facial SPF that does the job, look no further. La Roche Posay have a whole range of sun creams for different skin types so there is something for everyone. Let me know what your favourite SPF is!
Thanks for reading,
Avani
