Tried and Tested: Max Factor Face Finity Primer
I hauled the Max Factor Face Finity Primer a while ago but recently realised I haven't reviewed it.
The truth is, I really don't like this primer. My main issue is that it makes whatever I put on top, look ashy and grey. I've used this several times with foundations that I love and wear all the time and the result is always the same. A very grey and ashy face. It makes me look so dull and chalky.
The texture of the primer is quite heavy and dry. I'm not quite sure how a product can be heavy and dry at the same time, but this one definitely is. It probably doesn't help that I have dehydrated skin anyway, but this primer isn't advertised for oily skins in particular. I'm not going to say don't buy this, I never do with products that don't work for me because that's just it, they may not work for me, but they might for you. I would advise giving it a swatch in store. I bought this online and as soon as I tried it on the back of my hand at home, I knew the texture wouldn't sit right on my skin.
In terms of it making my makeup last longer, I didn't notice any major differences. It didn't increase the longevity nor did it decrease it. Side note, I hate the smell. It's very chemically which I must admit, doesn't make me want to put it on my face.
Overall, I didn't get on with the Max Factor Face Finity Primer (£10.99). I think primers are really hard to get right. Let me know what your favourite primer is from the drugstore. I'm still searching for mine!
Thanks for reading,
Avani
