I love Real Techniques. I own most of their brushes and the Nic's Picks set certainly doesn't disappoint.
This set comes with 5 brushes, 3 of which are new and exclusive to the set. Let's go through them in order shall we.
Duo Fibre Face Brush- This is a repeat brush that you can get in their Duo Fibre set. It's perfect for blush, bronzer and face powder. I love this brush and I'm glad to have another one. It's a really good one to have if you tend to be heavy handed with makeup because it's picks up less than a normal brush.

Cheek Brush- I was very excited about this brush. To me, this brush is the shape of the Expert Face Brush but with the fluffiness of the Multi Task Brush. I use this for a really rough contour or for bronzer. It's also a good one to use as a finishing brush. I like to take a clean brush to blend over my entire face after I've done my makeup. This brush is the perfect density to blend everything together seamlessly.

Angled Eyeshadow Brush- This is probably my favourite of the bunch. This brush is perfect for the outer corners of the eye. If you've struggled with getting a perfectly smokey and blended outer corner, this brush will be your best friend. It's stiff enough to pack on colour slowly, but fluffy enough to blend it out seamlessly. This brush has basically made smokey eyes a hell of a lot easier!

Base Shadow Brush- The second brush that's available in another set. I am in love with this brush. You can use it for everything. Literally everything. Turn it on it's side to pack on eyeshadow, use it in the crease, use it to blend concealer, you can even use it to precision powder. I am very very happy to own a spare.

Angled Liner Brush- I'm not going to lie, this is probably the most underwhelming brush of the set for me. I do really like it, I'm just not buzzing about it like the others. Because it's so small, you can get right into the roots of the lashes with whatever product you're using. I am a massive fan of using darker eyeshadows as eyeliner for a softer effect and this brush lends itself perfectly for that.
All these brushes are super soft. What else do we expect from Real Techniques? I'm also a big fan of the silver handles. I think it makes a nice change to the normal colours and certainly makes them stand out.
The set is £30 which is a lot to pay in one go. However, you are getting 5 brushes and the quality is truly worth it. It's the perfect thing to put on your wish list this Christmas!
Have you tried this set? What's your favourite brush?
Thanks for reading,

I love this set too :D I do think that there's only so exciting your standard eyeliner brush can be but it does the job so I can't complain! xx

It's fantastic! It's also great value; works out £6 a brush! The more I use the eyeliner brush, the more I like it. I think it's really good for a precise line and if you want to get right into roots of the lashes :) x
