You all know I'm new to toners and I'm currently trying to find 'the one'. I was doing some research for alcohol free toners and stumbled across the Nuxe Gentle Toning Lotion with Rose Petals (£13.50).
I'm going to mention what I don't like first; the smell. I'm a fan of rose scented products but not this. I don't think it smells of rose. It smells like toners you'd find back in the day; almost granny-ish. Sorry. Not a fan of the smell. Just no.
Aside from that, it's not a bad toner. I didn't like it at first (probably because of the scent) but after I moved past that, I found it was a nice basic toner. It didn't dry my skin out and it didn't leave behind any kind of residue. I'm not sure what else to say really. I think it would suit all skin types and it's a good one for beginners.
I would recommend it if your not bothered by scents, however, it's not one I'll be repurchasing because it didn't really do much to my skin. The hunt for the perfect toner continues….
