Tried and Tested: Bourjois One Second Gel Top Coat
As much as I love Shellac, it can get expensive and you can't change up the colour until you get it removed. Luckily, Bourjois have released a gel like top coat that is the closest thing to a gel finish I've found, without the commitment.
The best thing about this top coat is the brush. It's a huge paddle style brush which enables you cover your entire nail in one swipe. It literally takes a second. I thought the name of the top coat was a gimmick but it isn't. It really does take a second to coat your entire nail. I also like the fact that I can do my entire hand without having to dip the brush back into the bottle. It makes painting you nails that much faster.
In terms of formula, I think this one is going to be very hard to beat. It's really thick and glossy, just like a gel polish. It makes whatever polish I'm wearing last a lot longer too. I mean, even after three days, there's minimal chipping. For such a thick top coat, it dries really quickly. I'm one of those girls who hates waiting for nail polish to dry, so this is great.
This is a fantastic all round top coat. It gives your nails a gel like finish without the commitment; I definitely recommend it. And that's coming from someone who's usually too lazy for nail polish!
What's your favourite top coat?
Thanks for reading,
Avani
