Tried and Tested: Revlon Colourburst Matte Balm

If there's one thing Revlon does well, it's lip products and the Colourburst Matte Balms (£7.99) do not disappoint.

I would like to mention that I only have one shade. I have been trying to track down more shades but the testers and products are always messed up! Does anyone else have this problem in the UK?

Anyway, back to the review. These are the first matte balms to hit the drugstore and they are beautiful. I have the shade 'Striking' which is a gorgeous orangey red that looks fantastic with a tan. It's one of those shades that perks up the complexion and adds life to the face.

The formula of these balms is perfect. Although they're matte, they do have a creaminess to them which makes them very hydrating. They feel really comfortable and light on the lips too. I also have to give an honourable mention to the fact that they're in pencil form. You can literally apply it straight from the bullet and still end up with a precise lip. It makes rocking matte lips that much easier.

I love these matte balms; they smooth over the lips and hide any dry patches without making them worse. Result! If you are new to matte lips and want to give them a go, I definitely recommend these. They're so easy to apply and feel great on the lips. The colour selection is good too, they have everything from nudes to bolds.

What are your favourite shades?

Thanks for reading,
Avani
