I love the idea of wearing nail polish but me and applying nail polish is another story. No matter how long I leave it to dry, it always smudges! So you can imagine how I excited I was when I saw a salon open up offering CND Shellac.
Shellac is a hybrid polish that doesn't chip or smudge and lasts up to two weeks. I've never had anything so glossy on my nails, it's wonderful. It really does last 14 days, it can last even longer depending on how fast your nails grow.
As for damage to nails, I've had it done 5 times now and I haven't experienced any damage. I think it's important to go to someone who knows what they're doing. The woman who does mine always conditions my nails before and after the Shellac is applied and after it's removed.
The CND colour range is impressive too and they are always adding new colours to their collection. My current favourite is 'Pink Bikini.' It's the perfect pink for spring/summer and looks incredible with a tan! I'm wearing it in the picture above. I love getting Shellac done and I think it's definitely worth it. After getting this done a few times, I just can't seem to go back to regular nail polish!
