Last week I turned 22! *Cue Taylor Swift's song about being 22.* Anyway, I thought I'd do a post on all the things I've learnt in my 22 years.
- What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger. We're starting off deep. I've definitely had my fair share of life challenges and I truly believe this.
- Life is short. You never know what's going to happen so if you want to do something, do it.
- It's better to have a few good friends than multiple acquaintances. I'd much rather have a handful of true friends who really know me, than a large group of friends I can't rely on. Quality over quantity.
- Maggie Smith is a national treasure.
- If you really want something, and work hard for it, you will get it. I have to remind myself of this from time to time, but I really do believe it.
- If it's not going to affect you in 5 years, don't worry let it worry you for 5 minutes.
- Kindness will never go out of style.
- There's nothing better that a hot cup of tea.
- Pizza over abs any day.
- Social Media isn't everything.
- Family is everything.
- It will all be ok in the end, and if it's not ok, it's not the end.
- Perfection doesn't exist. There's no such thing as perfect.
- Success means something different to everyone.
- Nothing worth having comes easily.
- Sometimes things have to get worse before they get better.
- Don't compromise who you are for someone else.
- Comparison is the thief of joy. I've seen a few people say this on Twitter recently and it's just so true.
- Growing old is a privilege.
- It's ok to not always be ok.
- You never know what someone else is going through, so always be kind.
- You are good enough. Repeat that to yourself everyday until you believe it.
Have a wonderful day!
Avani
xoxo
