Autumn Makeup Menu

Now that Autumn has finally arrived, it's time for my Autumn Makeup Menu!

Mac Cream Colour Base in Hush:

I tend to tone down highlight in Autumn, but that doesn't mean I don't want a glow. Hush is a pretty peachy highlight that works all year round. All though it does offer a strong highlight, since it's a cream, it's very natural. I think powders can look a little harsh in the Autumn sunshine.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit Palette:

I use Luminous Bronze Light to bronze my complexion as it's lighter and more natural during the cooler months. Mood Exposure is my perfect blush for this time of year. It's a very subtle mauve pink that adds something special to the cheeks. Both have a very soft fine shimmer so they add a nice luminosity. Although I mainly stick to these two products in the palette, I can't resist using the others. They're so beautiful and make your skin look amazing!

MUG Bitten Eyeshadow:

Bitten is probably one of my most used eyeshadows from Makeup Geek. It's a matte purple berry that sounds terrifying, but it looks amazing in the crease. The shade is so Autumn and using a bit of this in the crease instantly updates your makeup.

MUG Burlesque Eyeshadow:

Burlesque is a slightly cooler Bitten with a shimmer. It's more purple toned and is the perfect shade for a smokey eye. I love how creamy the shadow is and it looks great on brown eyes.

MUG Glamorous Eyeshadow:

Glamorous is a vibrant, but still subtle, warm gold. It's the perfect everyday shade that you can just slap on with a fluffy brush. It looks great on its own or layered in a smokey eye.

MUG Goddess Eyeshadow:

Goddess is a warm red toned bronze shimmer. I love applying it all over the lid with just a basic mid toned matte brown blended into the crease.

Max Factor Golden Bronze Eyeshadow:

If I'm not wearing Glamorous, I'm wearing Max Factor Golden Bronze. It's a soft golden bronze (how about that) with a very fine shimmer. It translates to more of a sheen on the lid. It's very wearable for everyday and looks very pretty.

Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Metallic Pomegranate:

If anything in this post screams Autumn, it's this. Metallic Pomegranate is a purple/red/berry cream eyeshadow with flecks of gold glitter and a subtle gold shimmer. It's beautiful on all skin tones, but particularly on deeper skin tones. It's so flattering and the gold makes it very wearable. I'd pair it with a matte brown in the crease and lashings of mascara.

Revlon Lip Butter in Sugar Plum:

I love these lipsticks from Revlon because they're sheer, comfortable and easy to reapply. Sugar Plum is a lovely sheer plum that's very wearable for everyday. It's a good one if you want to try a plum lipstick, but don't want to invest in anything too expensive.

Bourjois Rouge Edition in Frambourjoise:

This is a gorgeous matte mauvey pink with berry undertones. It's a really nice inbetween colour for those who don't want a full on berry lip, but also don't want something sheer. I love it and I have to say it has become a staple when I want something a bit different.

That rounds up another makeup menu. I didn't include foundation and concealer as they honestly don't change. I'm loyal to the Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream and Urban Decay's Naked Skin concealer. The same goes for brows and mascara. What can I say, I'm a creature of habit! I do have an everyday makeup routine coming up soon featuring some of these products, so stay tuned for that.
