I've been receiving the Perrin Technique since December and I'm still in the detox stage of the treatment. There isn't much to tell in terms of symptoms; the pain is very bad and I'm exhausted all the time. I've actually been quite emotional over the past couple months in particular which is the main reason I wanted to do this post.
I've had ME for nearly 5 years and I'm really ready to move on. I'm tired of being in pain and feeling like crap. I'm ready to get on with my life. It's been really hard, especially recently, because everyone around me seems to be moving on with their lives and I'm just stuck. At the end of the day, I'm 20 years old and I have very little independence. I can't go out without someone taking me or coming with me. I can't cook for myself. I struggle to do even the simplest of things like emptying the dishwasher. It makes day to day life not only difficult, but really disheartening.
Since even the simple things are very hard, blogging becomes a bit of a struggle. When I have a bit of energy, I try and take as many photos as possible to get posts scheduled. That's what I've been doing for the past couple of weeks and I've run out of new posts. I have plenty of ideas but actually having the energy to follow them through is another matter. I hate scrambling to put up a post because it never feels like it's my best work. I want whatever post I'm working on, to be the best it can be.
Taking all of that into account, for the next week or so, I won't be publishing any new content so I can really focus on preparing posts. I'm also hopefully going to be redesigning the blog soon which is very exciting. I know I take a lot of blogging breaks, but it enables me to blog in the way I want to. I really love blogging. It's given me something to look forward to which is so important for someone who has a chronic illness.
I also want to thank everyone who reads this blog. I will hopefully be returning to my usual schedule soon depending on how the next couple of days go. I'm aiming to take lots of pictures this week so I can get my posts scheduled. I'll pop an update on Twitter as to when new posts will resume.
