Tried and Tested: Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation (Liquid)

Bobbi Brown Skin Liquid Foundation (£30-£31), where have you been all my life?

This foundation has been around a long time and I've always wanted to try it. I finally managed to get a sample and tried it for the first time this week. Personally, I can tell whether I like a foundation after wearing it for a day. I've heard mixed things about it but I love it. It is exactly what I've been looking for. It gives a very natural finish that's not too matte but not dewy. As the name would suggest, it looks just like skin.

Before
Wearing the foundation on its own
With concealer, blush etc
You can wear it sheer or you can build it up and it won't go cakey. Now I love my Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation, but it's straight up full coverage. The Bobbi Brown one is much more versatile. You can custom the coverage depending on your preference. I applied it with my Real Techniques Buffing Brush and it was so easy to blend into the skin. It's not a foundation that you have to keep blending for it to look good. It also feels really light on the skin, even after layering up the coverage.

For the sake of this post, I didn't set it with a powder so I could see how long is lasted. After 8 hours there was a bit of wear but all in all, I think it's a very long lasting foundation. It does contain SPF so it may not be one to wear in flash photography.

I really like this foundation and after I've used up my sample, I may even buy the full size! This definitely gets a thumbs up from me!

What foundation are you currently loving?

Thanks for reading,
Avani
